How to care for your sequins

Now that you have new shiny clothing (or home decor) you may be wondering - can I machine wash the sequins? The answer is yes...usually. First, be sure to check the fabric manufacturer's care instructions - sequined fabrics can be made with many different backings, some of which may not be machine washable.

In most cases, you can hand wash or machine wash on a mild low temperature cycle with a mild detergent. Also, turn your sequined clothes over before throwing them in the washing machine - this will help prevent the sequins from getting stuck inside the washer or hitting the inside of the washer and falling off.

When drying, always air dry sequin garments! You can hang it to dry or lay it flat on a towel. Dryers can really melt or damage sequins!
