How to identify fabrics

Common fabric ingredients:

Cotton, rayon and natural fibers. : Emit blue smoke, paper smell, and black ash when burning

Nylon and chemical synthetic fibers: emit white smoke when burning and turn white after burning

Silk wool, protein fiber: burnt smell, black ash

Acrylic chemical fiber: fire white, sometimes slightly black, with a fishy smell.

Polyester and chemical fiber: black smoke is emitted when burned, and turns black after burning, with an aromatic smell.
