How to identify fabrics

Commonly used fabric ingredients:

Cotton, rayon and natural fibers. : Blue smoke when burning, paper smell, black ash

Nylon, chemical synthetic fiber: white smoke when burning, turns white after burning

Silk wool, protein fibers: burning smell, black ash

Acrylic fiber: Fire white, sometimes slightly black, with fishy smell.

Polyester, chemical fiber: black smoke when burning, black after burning, fragrant smell.
